alcohol-beerA new study from Boston University finds that alcohol is responsible for four percent of all cancer deaths.

Researchers say people are not aware of this link, and that doctors are not emphasizing the risks.

Reducing alcohol, they say, cuts down that risk.

The scientists say about 20,000 people in the United States die each year from cancer related to alcohol consumption.

The study found that for women, alcohol was most? commonly linked to breast cancer.

For men, cancers of the mouth, throat and esophagus were associated with alcohol.
