JONESVILLE ? This year?s Jonesville Christmas Parade will be part of a ?full day of festivities? according to Mayor Ernest Moore.
The Jonesville Christmas Parade has traditionally been organized by a committee of private citizens with the town making an annual donation. Earlier this month, Jonesville Town Council voted to take over the organization of the Christmas parade and to make it part of a full day of activities.
?We will have various activities all day leading up to the parade,? Moore said.
The parade will be organized by a committee appointed by council. Moore said the town is looking for volunteers to serve on the committee. He said persons interested in serving on the committee should call the Jonesville Town Hall at 674-5746. Only residents of the Town of Jonesville will be accepted.
In other business, council voted to approve an ordinance creating and establishing purchasing procedures for the town and to adopt an Americans with Disabilities Act Policy and Grievance Procedure.
