Microsoft to Release Critical Windows 7, Internet Explorer Updates

Microsoft will release a total of nine different security bulletins next week as part of its monthly Patch Tuesday cycle, trying to fix critical vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer and Windows 7.

According to the Security Bulletin Advance Notification for April 2013, one of the critical updates is aimed at Internet Explorer, Microsoft?s in-house browser currently at version 10. Basically, Microsoft?s patches will be aimed at all Internet Explorer versions on all Windows contraptions released so far, including XP, Vista, 7 and 8.

In addition, the Redmond-based software giant will also roll out fixes for some of its Windows platforms, namely XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and Windows 7. No critical Windows RT and Windows 8 updates are prepared.

As usual, these fixes will be delivered via the integrated Windows Update, so make sure you have this option enabled to keep your operating system and the installed software fully patched.
